Even if you don’t feel stressed, it’s there in the form of excess weight, and an under-functioning metabolism, not to mention high blood pressure. Each one of these factors contributes to your overall stress factor; if you are not feeling particularly stressed, it only means that you’ve become accustomed to a certain level of physiological dysfunction—but your body is still under stress nevertheless. Metabolic syndrome is extremely responsive to the techniques that help manage stress. As a matter of fact, in conjunction with your overall lifestyle change program, simply taking care of your stress can diminish many of your symptoms.
